Couple therapy for infertility

Life begins where there is a desire for a child, even if there is never going to be an actual child. Each person’s unique qualities and the initial moment of their life story both derive from the meeting point of their parents’ fertility desires.

We often find that we are inhabited by the longings of those who gave birth to us. Our parents’ desires regarding having a child may remain unconscious for two to three generations and only crystallise when a child is born. Obstacles or difficulties in the reproductive process often highlight and illuminate such unconscious, intergenerationally transmitted desires.
