Psychologist
Irini Dimopoulou was born in Athens, on September 11, 1975. She studied Psychology in Padua, Italy, specializing in clinical psychology (2002) and later obtained a postgraduate degree in Social Psychiatry from the Medical School of Ioannina (2007). Private since 2005 offering individual psychotherapy psychoanalytic approach. She is systematically supervised by a member of the HPS and is constantly updated through scientific psychoanalytic conferences and seminars. She has completed two years of awareness in the group psychoanalytic psychotherapy of Aeginiteio as well as the Educational Program of Instructors-Coordinators of Parents ‘School Groups of the Panhellenic Parents’ Association. Finally, she has successfully attended the Postgraduate program for the perinatal and infant period of the Hellenic Society for Infant Mental Health (affiliated of WAIMH). Since 2006 she has been working as a psychologist at the Day Center for psychological support of cancer patients. She is a member of the Hellenic Anticancer Society and deals with the education, supervision and awareness of mental health professionals dealing with cancer. She has published articles related to psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychosomatic clinic.
